Garage Door Questions, Answered Straight
No sales talk — just honest answers from technicians who do this every day across South Florida.
How fast can you respond to an emergency?
For true emergencies — a door stuck open, a car trapped, a broken spring — we typically arrive within 45–90 minutes anywhere in Broward County. Call (954) 673-1101 and you'll get a real ETA from a live dispatcher, 24/7.
How much does garage door repair cost in South Florida?
Most common repairs fall between $129 and $349. Spring replacement typically runs $189–$329 for a pair. We always give you a firm, upfront price before any work begins — no hourly meters running, no surprises.
My garage door won't open. What should I do?
First, don't force it — you can damage the door or hurt yourself. Check that the opener is plugged in and the emergency release hasn't been pulled. If the spring is broken (loud bang, visible gap in the coil), stop and call us at (954) 673-1101. We'll talk you through immediate safety steps.
Can you repair my door the same day I call?
In most cases, yes. Our trucks carry springs, cables, rollers, sensors, and openers for all major brands, so 9 out of 10 repairs are completed in a single visit — often the same day.
Do you work on all garage door brands?
Yes. We service and install LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, and most other major brands, for both residential and light commercial doors.
Should I repair or replace my garage door?
If the door is under 15 years old and the issue is isolated — a spring, cable, or opener — repair is almost always the better value. If panels are rotted or bent, the door is 20+ years old, or you're facing your third major repair, we'll show you replacement options with honest math and zero pressure.
Is it dangerous to replace a garage door spring myself?
Extremely. Springs are under hundreds of pounds of tension and injure thousands of DIYers every year. This is a 45-minute job for a trained technician with the right tools — please don't risk it. Call (954) 673-1101 instead.
What is a hurricane-rated garage door, and do I need one?
Hurricane-rated (wind-load certified) doors are engineered to withstand extreme wind pressures without buckling. In much of South Florida they're required by the Florida Building Code, especially in High-Velocity Hurricane Zones. Even where not required, they're the smartest upgrade a Florida homeowner can make.
How long does a new garage door installation take?
Most residential installations are finished in 3–5 hours, including removal of your old door, installation, balancing, safety testing, and full cleanup.
Do you install smart garage door openers?
Yes — Wi-Fi enabled openers from LiftMaster and Chamberlain that let you open, close, and monitor your garage from your phone, with alerts if the door is left open. Installation typically takes about an hour.
Why is my garage door so noisy?
Usually worn metal rollers, loose hardware, or a chain-drive opener past its prime. We replace rollers with quiet nylon versions, tighten and lubricate everything, and can upgrade you to a whisper-quiet belt-drive opener.
Do you offer maintenance plans?
Yes. Our annual 21-point tune-up includes lubrication, balance testing, hardware tightening, safety sensor checks, and weather seal inspection. It's the cheapest insurance against a 2 AM emergency — and we recommend scheduling it every May, before hurricane season.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We're a licensed and insured Florida contractor, in business since 2009. Every technician is trained, background-checked, and arrives in uniform.
Which areas do you serve?
All 31 cities in Broward County — from Coral Springs to Pembroke Park, Hillsboro Beach to Southwest Ranches — plus surrounding South Florida communities. If you're nearby and unsure, just call (954) 673-1101.
